Tagged: Billionaire George Soros boosted his piece of Austin-based Cirrus Logic Inc. by fivefold this month.The Soros Management Fund now holds 4.62 million shares, or 5.2 percent, of the chipmaker, according to Dec. 26 U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission filing. The fund previously held 679,000 shares.
The purchase was made on Dec. 14 when shares hit $4.76 and makes Soros the second largest investor in Cirrus Logic.

The new insurer, Berkshire Hathaway Assurance Corp., should receive a license to operate from New York State's insurance department by Monday, department spokesman Andrew Mais said.
